A new version 2.2.0b17 has been made available this weekend:

There are no indications on that page about the changes. These are, I think, the ability to edit both individual metrics (namely TFM files as inherited from TeX Live) and resource metrics (namely metrics suitcases as inherited from Textures 2.1 and below), plus bug fixes.

Editing is done in the "coding" and "encoding" columns of the TeX Metrics window. Both are highlighted in blue when you select one metrics in the "name" column:

The "coding" column is where you input the PostScript name of the font associated with the metrics, and the "encoding" column is where you input either the name of a built-in encoding or the encoding itself. There is no list of built-in encodings; those known to me are (together with their equivalent .enc file from TeX Live)

	AdobeStandard (= 8a.enc)
	MacintoshStandard (= texmac.enc from the Y&Y TeX distribution)
	TeXBase1 (= 8r.enc)
	TeXnANSI (= texnansi.enc)

After editing the metrics, you'll be prompted when closing Textures about whether you want to save the changes.

That said, I have been kept away from TeX-related activities in recent days owing to real-life work, so I haven't had the opportunity to test this.
