Try instead of ps-print-* the according ps-spool-* command! It will produce the PS output in a buffer called *PostScript*. Then check the contents of this buffer! You can save it to some file and try to view it, for example in Emacs (with doc-view-mode mode)! With Apple's pstopdf or Ghostscript's ps2pdf<optional version number> you could convert the PS file to PDF and see whether the dimensions changed. If not, you can proceed to print the PDF file(s) and see how the printers handle the media.
