[OS X TeX] archives - one more question

Should I remove and/or stop updating the "old" archives at:

<http://www.esm.psu.edu/mac-tex/MacOSX-TeX-Digests/>

and simply depend on the "new" archives at:

<http://www.masda.vxu.se/~pku/MacOSX_TeX/>?

Do the older archives serve some purpose not served by the newer ones?
Please send me your thoughts.
