[OS X TeX] Times New Roman

I've googled quite a bit but am still unsure about the answer to this 
question.   I need to use Times New Roman for a proposal, not Times.

Will

\usepackage{mathptmx}

(found with google) do the job?  Most of the sites I found don't clearly 
distinguish between Times and Times New Roman.
