Your description is exactly how the bug works.
The trouble is that when the user starts typing and nothing appears in the source window, the temptation is to type nonsense
qpweoirquwpeoriu
and move the cursor and type more nonsense
aasdofiuasdf
before deciding that something is wrong and quitting. But after you reopen the file, the nonsense is there.
This is horrible, so I removed the "Find All" button. Thus users cannot run into the bug.
But that's not quite right. OgreKit modifies the Find menus in the program, so there is still a "Find All" menu choice and keyboard shortcut. This is removed in 4.52 and thus will be remove in the next release, whenever it occurs.
